Golden Oyster Mushrooms are renowned for their many benefits, being high in antioxidants, and offer anti-inflammatory properties and antibacterial properties. They’re also a great source of B vitamins, and an excellent source of potassium.
Our quality and safety standards are among the strictest in the industry, as we work in a certified ISO7 cleanroom. Each of our cultures undergoes strict third-party testing through a licensed, unbiased party, to guarantee zero contaminants of any kind.
Directions
To properly cultivate these mushrooms, you will need to purchase a substrate, such as our Grain Spawn Bag, or coffee grinds. Once you have your substrate ready, the process is as follows:
- Inject 5cc’s into the substrate (half of the syringe per bag of substrate).
- Allow for 1-2 weeks to pass, until 50% of the substrate bag turns white.
- Once the bag has turned 50% white, scrunch the bag using your hands to evenly mix the contents together.
- Place the bag in a sunlit area of your home, and mist it twice a day. Do NOT allow the bag to get dry, or your mushrooms will not grow.
- Once your mushrooms have fully matured after 2-3 weeks, simply twist one off and pull, and enjoy!
Frequently Asked Questions
What are Golden Mushrooms?
Golden Oyster Mushrooms are one of the most popular species of mushrooms, and a staple of Asian cooking, thanks to their intense umami flavor, with a rich, buttery, meaty, and nutty flavor.
How Do You Procure These Mushrooms?
All of our mushroom cultures are carefully procured from our state-of-the-art laminar flow hood, which is an enclosed, filtered structure that ensures the safest, most sterile, and contaminant-free laboratory environment.
Why Aren’t My Mushrooms Growing?
If your mushrooms aren’t growing, it’s probably because of 1 of 2 reasons: either your mushrooms aren’t getting enough direct sunlight, or you’re not misting them thoroughly enough twice each day.
How Long Can Golden Mushrooms Last Once They’re Harvested?
Golden mushrooms are known for having a very short shelf life once picked, lasting for about 3-4 days before needing to be discarded.
