Description
Want to grow your own oyster mushrooms, and pick them fresh when it comes time to cook a savory dish? Our Oyster Mushroom Syringe offers 10 cc’s of live liquid mushroom cultures, free of contaminants and maintained in a sterile environment before undergoing strict third-party testing. Created in an ISO7 cleanroom facility, they’re held to some of the strictest quality standards possible.
Oyster mushrooms aren’t only tasty, but they’re full of benefits thanks to their high content of antioxidants, niacin, fiber, iron, and more, combined with their beneficial properties pertaining to cardiovascular and immune health.
Directions
To properly cultivate these mushrooms, you will need to purchase a substrate, such as our Grain Spawn Bag, or coffee grinds. Once you have your substrate ready, the process is as follows:
- Inject 5cc’s into the substrate (half of the syringe per bag of substrate).
- Allow for 1-2 weeks to pass, until 50% of the substrate bag turns white.
- Once the bag has turned 50% white, scrunch the bag using your hands to evenly mix the contents together.
- Place the bag in a sunlit area of your home, and mist it twice a day. Do NOT allow the bag to get dry, or your mushrooms will not grow.
- Once your mushrooms have fully matured after 2-3 weeks, simply twist one off and pull, and enjoy!
Frequently Asked Questions
How Hard are These Mushrooms to Grow?
Oyster mushrooms are surprisingly easy to grow, as they grow easily in a wide array of climates. Your home will be the perfect place for these mushrooms to survive, as long as you provide them with direct sunlight through a window, and mist them twice daily.
Where Do These Mushroom Cultures Come from?
To guarantee a fully sterile environment, our mushrooms are procured from a laminar flow hood, which is an enclosed structure used by laboratories to filter out any contaminants of any kind. This way, no germs can enter the cultures at any time.
Are These Mushrooms Safe to Eat?
Our mushroom cultures are completely safe to consume, and that’s the whole point of growing them! Once they’re mature, you can pick them as desired and enjoy them in your favorite soups, sauces, and other recipes.
What if My Mushrooms aren’t Growing?
If your mushrooms aren’t taking off, it’s likely one of two things: one is that you’re not misting them thoroughly enough each day, and the other is that they need more direct sunlight during the daytime.
